Becoming Catholic

The Church always welcomes new Catholics with open arms!  You may contact any of our priests or pastoral ministers to provide you with guidance.  After inquiry we have a process of preparation and formation for those who wish to become Catholic.

This process is called the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA).  This Rite allows each person to study the Catholic Faith, to deepen a relationship with the Lord Jesus, to develop a deeper prayer life and to become immersed in the life of the Catholic Church.  Our parish priests and a team of parishioners join with new candidates in this process.  Becoming Christian is an important and life-changing decision which one doesn't take lightly.  We also assist those who are already Christians but would like to come into full communion with the Catholic Church.

Once the process is completed and you have fully discerned that you desire to become Catholic, the Church will joyfully receive you into Church, normally at the Easter Vigil of that year.

If you have an interest in becoming Catholic, please contact one of the parish priests.  They will meet with you to discuss the process, and answer any questions or concerns you may have.
