Christmas Season - The Church invites us to extend and savour the joy of the Season for many more days. During this time we observe some very beautiful feasts:
December 31st: Holy Family - We invoke the intercession of the Holy Family of Nazareth: Jesus, Mary and Joseph; for our own families.
January 1st: Mary, Mother of God - The Church celebrates Mary, a model of discipleship and trust in God’s promises. We seek her intercession and protection in the coming year. This day is also the World Day of Prayer for Peace.
January 7th: Epiphany of the Lord - On this day we recall that Christ is the light of all nations, that guiding us with wisdom and justice.
January 8th: Baptism of the Lord - This day draws the Christmas season to a conclusion. On this day, we celebrate the adult Jesus’ baptism in Jordan River by John the Baptist, thus inaugurating his saving mission which culminates in the Cross and Resurrection.
